Cobb
The blocking system on here like other places is pointless. People could be responding to me, and JWall couldn't see the OP. All is well though now.You shouldn't have let him get into your head then. That's all he wanted to do and he did it.
Guest STL10
You shouldn't have let him get into your head then. That's all he wanted to do and he did it. I see where you're coming from but what if every time you posted anything someone was there to bash it? I remember one time I posted my views on the 3 Heat and he responded within 30 seconds. Nitro
Livin' La Vida Nitro: An in-depth look at the life and soul of one of OTR's most notorious basketball geeks. Part 1. -Evidently they've officially changed brand-name OxyContin pills to THESE pieces of crap. Basically, whereas with the old pills you could scratch off the outer-coating, crush the pills and then easily snort it, these gel up once the pill hits moisture. In other words, you can't abuse them. And that sucks and is absolutely depressing. -When a girl says no, it always means yes. Just because the law may or may not agree shouldn't persuade you to not stick it in even if there's a sign that says, "DO NOT ENTER." Stick it in, do ya thing, make sure no pubes get on her so they can't pull some CSI [expletive] in court, make sure you don't bust in her so you don't have lil-[insert member name] running around while you locked up, and ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS say thank you after you're finished. -Whenever I see Fish7718 post, instead of listening to what he says I always picture this in my head: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAxailJPU5Q Anyone who agrees E-Mail me at: idontgivea[expletive]aboutyouropinionstopemailingmeyou[expletive]got@yahoo.com -"If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it really make a sound?"...Respect. -I'm going strangle Justin Bieber with a mic-cord until his eyes pop out...skin him...hack into his Twitter account and write a message saying one lucky girl won a fake contest and that she gets one night alone with the almighty Justin Bieber...and when she gets there I'm gonna hop out of a closet and chase the 12 year old [expletive] around while I'm wearing Bieber's skin as a suit...I'll make sure to adjust my fitted every 5 seconds while all this is going on as well. -So recently I got into a debate with my friend about who the better duo is- Nas/AZ or Nas/Damian Marley. My friend Nas/Marley because of how deep and meaningful their music together is, and it doesn't hurt that he's a music major who's into live instruments. I picked Nas/AZ, although it was very difficult. I think Nas/Marley's clash of style is WONDERFUL and a really nice, fresh breath of air. However, I can't take the clash of styles all the time, and Marley can get old to me (personally). Nas/AZ are very much a mirror image of each other, similar to Mos Def/Talib Kweli are. Even their first albums (Illmatic and Doe or Die) are extremely similar, with their only rapping guest appearance being one another. With both Nas/AZ being very smooth and lyrically off the charts in the same genre, the outcome is amazing. I really, really hope Nas makes a guest appearance on AZ's upcoming Doe or Die 2. -People need to stop riding Kevin Durant so hard. I understand he's only 21 and recently became the youngest scoring champ ever. But until he learns how to dominate a game when his shot isn't falling like Kobe/LeBron/Wade/Howard/Paul do, I don't believe he should be annointed to that elite group. He needs to learn how to occasionally run the offense and be a better playmaker for his teammates, he needs to put a more consistent effort on the defensive end, and he needs to get a LOT better in clutch situations. Most everything he needs to improve, besides passing/playmaking (which I believe is kind of one of those things you do or don't have), can be improved. But he's not there yet, and he's quickly becoming one of those players that annoy me simply because of the hype media/fans give him. I don't want that because he's a fascinating talent and is a very bright kid, but the craziness surrounding him needs to be silenced a bit. -"All I got for ho's is hard dick and bubble gum." ~Big L R.I.P -People say the era of hippies is long gone...I disagree. They have mutated and formed into hipsters, with cheap female sunglasses, skin tight jeans and overall douchebaggery. Unfortunately they are not as cool and trippy as the hippie's from the '60's and '70's. They are just useless scum. This fad needs to fade before I shoot up the Student Center at my school with an AK-47. Let it spray, make the hipsters go away. -I know it is somewhat mindless entertainment and South Park ripped it apart in "Cartoon Wars," but I'll always have a great appreciation for Family Guy. I was a weekly viewer before it got popular (during it's first run around the start of the millennium) and eventually cancelled, so I will always have the soft spot for the show, even during one of the overly long flashback sequences. -W.B Mason- Who but? --------------------------------------------------------------- Well, hope you liked the first installment. If you didn't, then you must not be Livin' La Vida Nitro!!! (Ahhh...see how I did that?!? I'm so [expletive]ing awesome I'm gonna jerk off in a mirror...) Smitty
It's back! I think I'm the only one in my neighborhood that's awake right now. I'm contemplating opening a window and letting out a big primal scream..followed by a pancake breakfast. I wish I could hug the person that thought up pancakes...just give em a big hug to let em know how awesome they are. Birthday is in 3 days I accidentally overheard my friends planning a surprise party for me..and now I gotta figure out a way to be still surprised and not make it obvious that I already know. Any suggestions?
GamerGuy
Deprive yourself of sleep for a week, and load up on caffeine products. At the end of the week you'll be so jumpy and jittery that when you walk in on that surprise party you just might scream like a little girl. Or you'll be so tired that it won't phase you. Yeah. Teletopez
There are a few connections between the potential four-team Carmelo deal and a deal the Yankees had nearly sealed up before this year's trade deadline. Back in July, it was being reported by multiple newspapers and sports shows that the Yankees were putting final touches on a deal to bring over Cliff Lee in a deal that would be sending Jesus Montero, Zach McAllister, and David Adams. I was very, very worried, assuming the deal would go through. Here are some similarities between the two negotiations: 1) Potential was being given up in both deals. In the Nets' case, it's Derrick Favors. For the Yankees, it was their top prospect, Jesus Montero. Neither had played a game for their teams. 2) The superstar being brought over was in the final year of his contract. The Yankees are expected to go after Cliff Lee after this offseason, so many assumed that this winter, Lee would be willing to re-sign. As for the Nets, they are only bringing over Melo if he agrees to an extension. The Yankees don't sign extensions during a season, so that's a different story. 3) I believe both deals could range from being a major disaster to a success. If Cliff Lee came over, it could have possibly allowed the Yankees to speed past competition this year and win it all. If he were to re-sign, the Yankees have the two starters from Game 1 of the 2009 World Series on the same team for some time. On the other hand, Cliff Lee could also choose to sign with someone else following the 2010 season, and the Yankees could get ripped off. Why? If Jesus Montero is putting together a Hall of Fame career in Seattle, or even an all-star one, the Yankees end up getting four months out of a superstar pitcher and possibly a ring, but nothing after that, in exchange for a big-time hitter, another top 20 prospect in the organization, and a third minor-leaguer. For the Nets, if Anthony continues his superstar career in Jersey (and then Brooklyn), likes where he is, possibly draws Chris Paul, and the Nets rise in the rankings, the trade is in all likelihood a success, depending on how Favors fares in Denver and Harris wherever he lands. But if Anthony does not like where he is, while Favors thrives in Denver and Harris is in 08-09 form, we're regretting the trade. 4) One deal broke down. The other is reportedly less likely to happen.
Sun Tzu
First official day of the holidays although it really started on Saturday but now the official two week holidays start. My cousin is coming down from another state to stay for a whole (not at my house though) and we are real close and I guess we both get to hang out for the two weeks while we both have holidays. But it sucks because I have to study for my end of year exams which is the first week back from the holidays. I really want to do good in this end of year exam so I can get the subjects I want for next year. I also can't wait to get NBA 2K11.
Nitro
Part 2. -"Like a bad neighbor, Nitro is there!" No lie, I'm like that convicted sex offender down the street with the pink tricycle sitting out on the front lawn. -Cocaine is a helluva drug...seriously. Copped a 20 piece for the first time in nearly a year. Normally far too expensive for such a short high, but it very fun on occasion. Especially when you mix it with bud, Roxi's and K-pins on a warm Friday night in September. -There's so many damn black people at my college. This one chick in my Developmental Psychology class is probably the darkest-skinned person I've EVER seen. She's literally tar black. She was a tiny bit sweaty during class last week and no joke her body looked EXACTLY like a recently repaved road, before the yellow lines are added. -"Why did Kobe have to hit that raw? Why he kiss that whore?" ~Jadakiss -It appears as though I'm the only one that's kind of upset Don Nelson stepped down as Warriors head coach this week. The team has a ton of firepower, and I really wanted to see Lee play in Nellie's offense. Besides, if you're not going to maximize his offense, and if the tempo is slowed down, his pathetic defense will be exposed even moreso. I really do like the Warriors, though, and hope they can play some winning basketball and generate Curry and Lee some national exposure. -I wonder what Sacha is doing now that he doesn't have OTR as a substitute for, you know, friends....I wonder. -The Boondocks is one of the most underrated TV shows currently on the air. So [expletive]ing funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAzOfVIXA-M -Lays chips are one of the most addictive snacks ever.
