The first game, the best player on the court went down with an ankle injury and was done, so I filled in for him (this making me the best player on the court, a couple of the other guys who are better either no showed or are injured). This game, I had 3 of our 11 points. Second game starts, I score. I go to turn around and get on defense, my foot gets caught on my shoe lace and I trip landed very awkwardly on my knee. I heard a crack. I was on the floor for about 5 minutes before being helped to the side. I had never felt a pain like this before. I dunno if I tore anything as the doctor at the ER wasn't able to tell but he said nothing was broken (obviously) and gave me a prescription of heavy dosage of ibuprofen. For the price of the copay you can buy an entire bottle of ibuprofen, essentially getting more milligrams and not having to go through the hassle of filling the prescription. SRV Posted January 9, 2012 Report Share Posted January 9, 2012 You might have torn your ACL. When I tore mine in PE I landed weird on a rebound and my knee just died. It felt funny at first but I got right back up (like an idiot) and kept playing. I then went down again and my knee was swolen for a week before I went in to get my knee drained. If they drain your knee and there is a bunch of blood coming out, then you tore something for sure. I went about 2 months with my torn ACL before I actually got an MRI. Game kinda sucked (Sixers blew them out), but I got free 3rd row seats thru my dad's company so it was a lot of fun overall. Also got the same tickets to see the Heat on 2/3, and plan on whatever other tickets I can get throughout the season. Oh, I sat about 7ft from Ron Jaworski and tried my best to eves drop on his convo's (seemed like a nice guy for the most part).
