Subway sucks where I'm at. We have an independent Subway on our main highway, then one inside of our Wal-Mart, and both are horrible. They put single layers of meat across your sandwich, and if you eat late (let's just say 8 PM), they are always out of something...certain bread, bacon, jalapenos usually.

My favorite sub shop was Togo's, when I lived in California. It was incredible.

I live in Miami and they run out of certain bread and chicken in Subway by like 3 PM, sometimes sooner. I think Subway just sucks at restocking their stores.

I used to love the Italian herbs and cheese bread, but I was rarely able to get it because they always ran out.

Al Sharpton is the biggest racist there is. He's a scumbag as well. And, I'm not sure how you can sit here and deny that African American's don't have an influence in a situation like this. Often times in cases like these, African American's will just join together because the victim is black, and they feel like they have to defend "their own" without even knowing all of the facts. It's the same for Hispanics as well.

Yes, Blacks had a major influence over his arrest. But I'd say most WHITES thought Zimmerman should be charged, too. And blacks band together in unity such as this to stop acts of Racism.

If you cannot admit race had to do with this situation/case, you are not worthy of an intelligent debate.

I'd agree that many whites also thought he should be arrested, but many of those are people that just go with the popular opinion or what they hear about on the news without actually hearing both sides. Now, I'm not saying that there isn't a reason for white people or black people to want Zimmerman arrested and charged, but I think it's naive to think that African American's aren't just rallying because it was a person of color that was killed, regardless of the facts in the case.

Do I think that there are many times where African American's get together and rally to stop acts of racism? Yes, I certainly do, and there are whites that join them as well, and it's great people want to stop racism. However, I think over the years, those rally's have become more about rallying for a "minority of ones kind" regardless of facts in the case, and less about an actual act of racism. African Americans and our generation in general tend to be influenced rather easily by the media or social networking, and it's easy to get people riled up to want to "rally".

Put your race aside and just answer this question honestly, whether you think it's right or wrong:

In today's society, in a neighborhood with many break-ins during recent times, which person is going to look more suspicious to you? An 18 year old white kid wearing a jacket with no hood, or an African American, wearing a hoodie, with a gold tooth, and one that is a football player?

You can say it's racial profiling, but I think it's playing the odds.

I agree with most of what you said, actually. I just disagree with the racial profiling. Maybe it's that society has brainwashed us to think that the black person is more suspicious? I don't really see how either is more likely to break in than the other.

Trayvon Martin wasn't doing anything wrong from the information I gathered in the case. Why Zimmerman came after him remains a mystery to me...

I agree with you once again, for the most part. I guess the only part I disagree with, whether it's socially right or wrong, is that I think most people do stereotype people based on race and other factors in certain situations, and I don't always think that's wrong. I wouldn't reject someone from a job because they are black, asian, hispanic, or whatever origin they may be. However, if I see a white biker with lots of tattoos down south who waves around a confederate flag, my first guess may be that he might not like black people. I would venture to guess that you may make that assumption as well, whether it's right or wrong.

Zimmerman may have very well unjustifiably killed Trayvon Martin, but I'm just waiting for his day in court to come to a final decision.

If we shut up about it now, I'll allow a Trayvon Martin topic once the trial starts up. Otherwise, I'm going to start deleting posts.

People believe Zimmerman should have been arrested for shooting him. Doesn't matter the rest. You shoot, you kill, you are put in cuffs...regardless of the color, the reason, etc.

There is nothing to discuss. The entire issue is now about racism, and everyone knows that racism exists in many more ways than just one, so leave it at that.

That's fine. I think we were agreeing more than disagreeing. If you open up the topic, I think the discussion will be more civil than last time as Zimmerman is now arrested.

This is my last post about that case in this thread.

Why? What he said is true.

He tried to justify racial profiling by saying he's "playing the odds". This isn't a sports bet this is a kids life we are talking about. W/e though I'll leave it alone for now.
