moeroadkill
..Michael Jordans 40 point consecutive 25+ point gamesright now his on 29 (i think) his already taken over lebron, jordan and iverson
Lemon
It'd be great if it happens, but looking at the schedule it seems like there's a big test on Wednesday against the Spurs. If he can get 25+ on that he'll be challenged again by the Nuggets. If that doesn't stump him, then he's well on his way to breaking one of the Jordan records. Owner Real Deal Posted February 23, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted February 23, 2010 That Denver game may be tough, since he'll have to defend Melo and have both Anthony and Afflalo on him quite a bit. I don't think he'll get it. Even that Utah game looks bad for Durant. Kirilenko and Brewer are mean, defensively.

YugoRocketsFan
I love the thread that say, will he beat someone's record? Will is a poor choice for this kind of situation or any situation of breaking a record. Can he break it? Yes, will he? Its possible, do I hope he does? Yes
CaliCurbStomppa
He will fall short but i think he can do it if he can play hard. As close he get it gonna be hard because some of his shots might not fall in and he knows he will make history not like he dont care but in reality he probably do care. I hope he can do it because he is a great player. Could be a future hall of famer even tho it early.

Flash
If he does break it. That's gotta make him the best scorer in the league right? I know everyone says Melo but Durant is just absurd for a 21 year old.

Newman
I personally don't believe that he will break MJ's record, but to get to the current number of 25+ games is a fantastic achievement for a young player already.

AtTheDriveIn
Some fun numbers, courtesy of Joyner82 from InsideHoops: Kevin Durant29 games of 25+ ppg32.4 ppg20.5 FGA 10.4 FTA1.58 PPS50.8 FG% 54.6 3P% 90.1 FT% Michael Jordan40 games of 25+ ppg36.4 ppg27.8 FGA 11.6 FTA1.31 PPS47.4 FG% 16.4 3P% 86.3 FT% The efficiency of Durant is through the roof! It's also surprising to see Durant's Points Per Shot stat is higher than Jordan's, who's always been regarded as a highly efficient shooter/scorer in his own right. Oh and team record for these games: Chicago Bulls - 21-19Oklahoma City Sonics () - 20-9 Regardless of how it may end up in the end, Durant has impressed me more than any other player in a long time with regard to his scoring; moreso than Carmelo ever could, more than Iverson in his younger days and more than McGrady during his Magic years.
