The Regime
Mike Krzyzewski was prominently mentioned as a possible head coaching candidate for the Nets, but he didn't take the rumors seriously. "That's why I made light of it," Krzyzewski said on the "Dan Patrick Show." "But before making light of it, I said no one had reached out, because if someone had reached out I would never make light of it. I would handle that ... " In February, when it was rumored incoming owner Mikhail Prokhorov was interested Krzyzewski to coach the Nets, the Duke mainstay made a joke out of it. "The guy's Russian, right? You think he'd hire a Polish guy?" Krzyzewski said then. "No one's contacted me, and if they do, I think 'nyet' would be easy for me to say." Krzyzewski denied the Nets ever contacted him. "No, they never did," he told Patrick. "That was just all ... you know how these radio shows are. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/65159/20100305/nets_never_contacted_coach_k/
La Bomba
Coach K would never leave Duke. There are a number of college coaches that wouldn't leave their job for anything. Edited March 6, 2010 by Sublime
