Error 2330

Recommended Posts

I already asked "Lkr" about this "Error 2330" crap I keep getting, and he pretty much suggested that I reformat my laptop, but I don't want to lose all of my programs and stuff.

Also, I pretty much can't install anything, not even virus protection I purchased a few days ago, so it's really pissing me off.

Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this, or do I just reformat my laptop?

http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.exe

Download that, install it, then run the program and "uninstall" (remove) the programs from your computer that you don't need/want.

(I know it says MS Office update, but don't worry about that)

If THAT doesn't run, then someone would have to dive into your registry and fix it manually. Since you don't live near me, I can't do it. You COULD try and stick in your Windows CD and run the recovery console (reboot with it in the system) and have it check system files for errors. Maybe there's a problem with file associations, and it may have something to do with a system file.

Sounds like the registry to me, though.
