CD Burner all of a sudden does not work??

I bought a HP Pavillion dv4 laptop windows 7 64-bit about two months ago from Best Buy. Overall I love it and no problems up to this point.

All of a sudden, when I put a blank CD-R disc into the tray and attempt to burn a CD from iTunes, it no longer recognizes that there is a disc in the disc tray. I've tried different blank CD's and it just doesn't recognize. It says to put a blank disc in the tray, and then it loads for about a minute trying to find it, and then it comes back with nothing, as if I never put anything in the tray.

If anyone could please help, it'd be great.

im assuming this is a joke? lol...

lol sorta i guess....

You still should have insurance on the computer, best buy gives you 3 months I believe. If your burner has stopped burning then it is a mechanical problem, therfore no matter what anyone says unless you know how to open up a computer and fix it you have no other option other than going back to return it.

so i took it into best buy today, the geek squad guy did everything he could to try to get it to work but he couldn't. is still under manufactures warranty, so hes sending it back to HP. Should have it back in 10-14 days.
