Warren2ThaG
http://a.espncdn.com/i/headshots/nba/players/65/1007.jpgKnicks planning for Hawks' Joe Johnson-----------The New York Knicks are obviously going to do everything it can to convince LeBron James(notes) to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers and make his way to the city that never sleeps. But the general consensus is that there is no way James will end up with the Knicks unless he's got some sort of martyr complex. The word from the paper of record, the New York Times, is that it is far more likely that the Knicks will have Atlanta Hawks forward Joe Johnson(notes) on its roster next year. Johnson and Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni worked well together in Phoenix and the coach would supposedly love to have him back. The eight-year pro guard is averaging 21.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game. The Times says the Hawks are going to try and retain Johnson and the Los Angeles Clippers and Chicago Bulls are likely going to try and sign him as well.----http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/09/sports/basketball/09hawks.html?ref=sports
Art
Knicks have potential to get 1st round draft pick and sign two free agents. Potential is devastating we will have to see how much pull dos the big city really have.

Check my Stats
Knicks do not have their first rounders this year unprotected, then the following 2 years conditionally with the Rockets. This team is in the biggest hole in the entire NBA if they don't land LBJ/Bosh/Wade. Edited March 9, 2010 by travesy3
YugoRocketsFan
When you have like 80 million in expirings, you will defenitely be focusing on every player. I still think it'd be hilarious to see the Knicks get nobody.
Dash
I think the Knicks will end up someone like a Joe Johnson or Rudy Gay but will have to overpay. I don't see them touching any of the top tier guys though.
Doc
lol i dont think they will get Johnson either. They already called him a "back up" plan. I wouldn't liked to be called a back up plan.
