kingfish
Kobe isn't clearly better than Wade, that's a joke.YOU KNOW WHAT.... I agree. You were expecting me to flip out werent you? I think Kobe and Wade are the 2 best players in the NBA, I would take either of them on my team for one season over Lebron anyday. I still think Kobe is better then Wade though, he just does everything better then Wade I cant really find something Wade does better then Kobe. I'd say Kobe has him in total offense, overall defense, and pretty much anything else. I'm sick of Odom, by the way.
kingfish
Cmon B, you know we need him on the bench to repeat. I ask you this, who is going to score off the bench without LO? Its important that he comes back.

Its important that he comes back.We could use him, but we don't need him for a repeat. Shannon Brown is a pretty good player, and a potential starter, and as far as pulling down boards goes, if Bynum stays healthy, that's covered. By the way, how about our new summer league forward? Do you know which one I'm talking about? He looks pretty good.
Flash
Utah is not dumb enough to trade Boozer without getting Beasley, there not going to want Haslem and Cook. Totally misinformed.. Utah has to dump Boozer's salary because they can't go over the LT. Giving them Beasley wouldn't work because of salary issues and Miami just won't give him up like that. It's Haslem and Wright most likely with Memphis being a third team. magicbalala245
Pat Riely to meet with Odom Lamar Odom is scheduled to meet with Miami Heat President Pat Riley and Dwyane Wade on Monday about signing a contract with the Heat. Talks have resumed with Odom and the Lakers, but they remain pessimistic that Odom will return. SRV
I don't know what is going on. Over the last 2 days I have read like 3 reports that he is close to signing with the Lakers and 3 reports that he is close to signing with the Heat. Let me just say, any report that does not come from ESPN from now on is BS.

Let me just say, any report that does not come from ESPN from now on is BS.I'm a Laker fan but I'm pretty sure he's going to Miami. Woj, on Yahoo reported LO most likely will be a Heat next year, and Woj's track record this offseason has been great. Furthermore, I think the stalling is because LO's camp has been trying to wait to see if Buss will increase the offer, and by all reports, that has not happened because the offer has actually decreased. I don't see why LO would resign to an even lower offer than the one he already rejected. Wade and Riley meeting with him in LA pretty much seals the deal IMO, I'm expecting an "LO to Miami" report in the next 48 hours.  But then again, I could be completely wrong. I just don't see how LA are favorites anymore. If I'm LO I'm taking the Miami deal. Edited July 28, 2009 by Jagmit
The Goods
Lamar, Riley, and Wade Meet - Odom Says Thanks But No Thanks According to sources close to the Lakers' organization, Pat Riley and Dwyane Wade from the Miami Heat formally met with Lamar Odom this afternoon to discuss their contract offer of 5 years, $34 million at the MLE. The result of their meeting was that Odom ultimately said he appreciated their offer but that he would have to decline. He reiterated his love for the city of Miami for giving him a home, and to Riley for giving him his first big contract (of which he is currently coming off of). However, he felt his best chance to win another NBA championship would be with the Lakers, and that he felt he owed it to the city of Los Angeles to come back for another title run. Odom plans on meeting with Lakers' owner Jerry Buss later this week to finalize contract details. More to come later. http://lakersguy.blogspot.com/2009/07/lamar-riley-and-wade-meet-odom-says.html

magicbalala245
Lakers offer Odom new contract The Lakers new offer is said to be a three-year offer in the $25 million range with possible performance incentives included in the deal that could push it north of $27 million, if the Lakers reach the NBA Finals again. Click on top of the quote to read full article

magicbalala245
Anyone can change their number lol, plus 45 was his baseball number. No I think the NBA made a rule cause of Artest changing his number so many times with the Bulls. So once you are that and you chose that number that's your number. Unless you get traded or you have more then four season with that same team according to ESPN In order for a player to change jersey numbers at will, he either has to change teams or have the team inform the league of the decision more than six months in advance. Players who stay with the same team must have worn the same number for four seasons or longer. And not way it will be 6 month if they get Odom right now. So Odom will have to get a new number I guess. Edited July 28, 2009 by magicbalala245

There's no more Gooden, Wilcox, Wallace..
